Spark & Stitch Institute and Poetry for People are hosting a two-hour event for parents, modeling ways that small creative practices can cultivate joyful resilience. Nationally acclaimed Black and queer playwright, Sharon Bridgforth, will lead this unique experience, joined by Twin Cities artist, Miré Regulus, actor and teaching artist, Aimee Bryant, and parent facilitator, Erin Walsh.
Guided by Bridgforth, the event will revolve around her “dem Blessings Deck,” prompting participants to contemplate, “What does infinite love want us to receive right now?” Based on the cards, Bridgforth and her co-hosts will offer prompts and insights, encouraging attendees on an introspective journey. The event promises an immersive experience of music, connections, and poetry, with attendees departing with their own “dem Blessings Deck” to continue exploring the question of infinite love in parenting.
