Day of Action brings together over 100 volunteers of varying ages and skillsets to complete community revitalization projects in Itasca-area communities.
In 2022, United Way is bringing volunteers to Deer River to complete community revitalization projects including landscaping, window washing, painting, and cleaning curbside waste and recycling. Home- and business owners in Deer River can request projects including ramp and grab bar installation, door and window replacement, painting, and other light maintenance projects through partnerships with Itasca County Habitat for Humanity and CEDA.
