Shakespearean Youth Theatre Presents: Hamlet

“WHAT, HAS THIS THING APPEARED AGAIN TONIGHT?”
Two watchmen encounter each other late at night on the ramparts of a castle. The air is cold; the men are tense.
A king has died. His widow hastily remarried.
And last night, the old King walked down battlements of the castle as he used to when he was alive. When the clock strikes, he may appear again…
“ALL THAT LIVES MUST DIE, PASSING THROUGH NATURE TO ETERNITY.”
As the watchmen wait with bated breath to see if the Ghost of King Hamlet will once again appear, in another part of the castle the new King hosts raucous revels with his Queen.
And Hamlet, son of the old King Hamlet, has returned home to find something horribly rotten beneath the pristine facade of the State.

Come see Shakespearean Youth Theatre’s bold new interpretation of Shakespeare’s classic revenge-thriller, performing behind the yellow door of the Crane Theater in Minneapolis.
Content/Sensory Advisory: While audiences of ALL ages are welcome at all SYT shows, SYT recommends Hamlet for ages 9 and up due to strobe effects, loud noises, and spooky elements. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to call the box office for more information.
The Crane Theatre has a functional wheelchair lift to the front door and has accessible seating and bathrooms. Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase during intermission. Feel free to come early & do some fun Shakespeare themed word searches, quizzes, and coloring sheets!
Tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for students. We strongly recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time, as we often sell out. Community Access tickets are available for $2. All are welcome!
