Photographer G. S. Broz will talk about of his latest body of work, Yankee Enduro, which illuminates the twilight of the American trucking industry.
Broz became a long-haul trucker expressly to examine the subject from the vantage point of an insider. His collection captures big rigs in their natural habitat and explores the intersection of solitude and isolation experienced by the jockeys that command these beasts.
In 2018, G.S. Broz relocated to the US after a ten-year odyssey in Asia. He began showing his work in juried shows in 2018 and has since displayed physical work at galleries in Providence, RI, Sacramento, CA; Portland, OR; and Valencia, Spain. His work has also become a regular part of the group programming at Praxis Photo Arts Center. His solo exhibition opens at Praxis on August 19, and will be on display through November 4.
