“PAX et LUX: Peace and Light” presented by MacPhail’s SONOMENTO, Soloists and Orchestra

Craig Fields conducts SONOMENTO, MacPhail’s premiere choral ensemble, and full orchestra in two powerful choral/orchestral works, featuring Ralph Vaughan Williams’ DONA NOBIS PACEM: Grant Us Peace (1936) inspiring admonition for peace and an encore performance of the choir’s 2021 Minnesota premier of Dan Forrest’s LUX: The Dawn from on High (2018), a breathtaking musical essay on the transformational power of light, now with full orchestra. Following their highly successful world premiere of REQUIEM FOR FRANKIE SILVER last November, SONOMENTO promises audiences another choral concert experience full of musical drama and reflection.
