Nell Hillsley Art Sale to Benefit Nonviolent Peaceforce

Nell Hillsley, acclaimed Minnesota artist, passed away on November 9, 2023. Before she passed, Nell expressed her wish to have one more art sale to benefit the work of peace.

Nonviolent Peaceforce works to interrupt cycles of violence in communities around the world, including in Ukraine, Iraq, and right here in the Twin Cities.

A brief presentation will be held at Episcopal Homes at 6:30 PM about Nonviolent Peaceforce and Nell’s connection to this work of peace.

As Nell was quoted in the Pioneer Press in 2011: “Our country, indeed the entire world, is addicted to war. We spend more money on the military now than any other country in the history of the world. As individuals, we have so very little power to stop it. But we can support the peacekeepers.”
