Matinee Musicale continues its 125th anniversary season with cellist Ifetayo Ali-Landing, who is quickly establishing herself as one of today’s leading young artists, earning praise for her “charismatic” playing (Chicago Tribune) and being described as a “powerhouse” by Classical MPR. Ali-Landing began her musical studies on violin before switching to cello at age four. She has studied under a host of notable teachers and coaches, been featured with prominent symphony ensembles throughout the U.S. and made numerous radio and television appearances.
