In partnership with the Hindu Society of Minnesota, Midtown Global Market will host a free, family-friendly event in celebration of the 2024 Holi: Festival of Colors on Saturday, March 23, from noon – 2 p.m.
The Holi Festival of Colors in India is a celebration of the victory of good over evil, the destruction of the demoness Holika. It is celebrated every year on the day after the full moon in the Hindu month of Phalguna which is early March.
Local artists will take to the market’s central court to present a spectacular cultural program consisting of Indian traditional, classical, folk, and Bollywood dances along with live singing and instrumental performances. Following this musical bonanza, guests will have the chance to play with colors.
The event is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant cultural heritage of India while enjoying the festivities and camaraderie of the Holi celebration.
Market restaurant, MomoDosa, will also have a food special during the event. Any order of Momo or Dosa will include a free order of a rice pudding dessert.
