Crestview Elementary Tree and Shrub Planting

September 10, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Volunteers will plant shrubs and trees in a restoration project at Crestview Elementary in partnership with South Washington Watershed District. We would love to see upwards of 100 volunteers to join this planting, including families from the school. The oak savannah we are working to restore will benefit the children of Crestview Elementary, to be used as an outdoor classroom!
Additional activities may include: the installation of tree tubes/fencing, mulching, and watering of the newly planted species.

Look for additional details in the pre-event communications that will be sent out in the weeks leading up to this event.

We will have light snacks and extra water available, however, please bring your own reusable water bottle and any additional snacks or lunch items you may need. There will be a portable sanitation unit on site.

Once you have registered via GivePulse, Great River Greening will approve your registration if you have completed the necessary training and you will receive confirmation. You will continue to receive event reminders as the event nears. If you have further questions, please contact Great River Greening at volunteer@greatrivergreening.org. If the event has reached capacity, please add your name to the waitlist and you will be automatically registered if space becomes available.
