Creepy Pollinators? Pop-Up Dinner

October 27, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

$30

Are you ready for a delicious and (maybe) creepy evening?

Chef Lachelle Cunningham has been a dynamic force on the Twin Cities’ food scene and is known for cooking globally inspired comfort food that thwarts unhealthy stereotypes and fuses in global flavors. On October 27, she will work with Urban Roots Cook Fresh interns and staff to prepare a meal for you featuring our fresh produce.

For added fun and education on this late October evening, Dr. Rebeca Gutierrez-Moreno, MN State Pollinator Coordinator, will discuss a creepy side of some pollinators and why maybe it’s not so creepy after all.

We will have nonalcoholic beverages available, as well as mead courtesy of White Bear Meadery for guests ages 21+. White Bear Meadery’s focus is on locally sourced ingredients. Their star ingredient is Minnesota harvested honey blended with many other fresh local ingredients – strawberries, raspberries, maple syrup, and apples to name a few.

Urban Roots is a 501(c)3 organization in St. Paul whose mission is to cultivate and empower youth through nature, healthy food, and community.
