AIA Minnesota is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its one-of-a-kind event, the Homes By Architects Tour. The tour will take place Saturday, Sept. 17 and Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. All homes are designed by registered members of the American Institute of Architects Minnesota (AIA Minnesota). There is no other home tour like it in the state as it places emphasis on the talents of local architects and their collaborative relationships with homeowners.
This year’s roster of eight homes showcases six newly constructed and two remodeled residences. Seven of the homes will be available for in-person visits and two can be toured virtually.
Visitors can meet the lead architects and their design team, ask questions, and learn their process firsthand. Plus, they’ll get a close-up look at how an architect can create personalized, relevant, and beautiful living spaces by listening and responding creatively to each homeowner’s needs.
Beginning August 5, tickets may be purchased online for $15 for all eight homes or $10 for a single home visit. Tour tickets may be purchased on-site at any of the participating homes for $20. A ticket to access only the two virtual tour homes and accompanying online content will be $5. Discounted tickets for youth and students will be offered. Children under age five are free. Advance tickets may be purchased online at HomesByArchitects.org.
