14th Annual Grand Slam Dinner
The 14th Annual Grand Slam Dinner, where Minnesota Twins players trade jerseys for aprons and wait tables to raise money for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund will be Sunday, August 25th at The Capital Grille in Minneapolis. Host and Twins’ third baseman Royce Lewis and his fiancé will host and join an impressive roster of current and past Minnesota Twins players rolling up their sleeves and running entrees from the kitchen as servers for the event.
The night begins with a cocktail reception featuring a premier silent auction and interactive games, followed by a four-course dinner. There will also be an online silent auction open to the public. Silent auction items include Twins autographed items, game ticket packages, batting practice visit with a Twins player, and 12 months of fine dining for two!
Join us for an unforgettable evening at benefitting Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities (BGCTC) and the Minnesota Twins Community Fund (MTCF). Guests will also enjoy live entertainment from Daniel Switch, an engaging acoustic singer/songwriter who plays a variety of well-known covers and guitar ballads.
BGCTC’s club programming strives to break down racial and ethnic disparities, helping young people (K-12) succeed in school, develop leadership skills, make healthy choices and build career aspirations.
The Minnesota Twins Community Fund’s mission is to enrich local and regional communities by providing resources for the healthy development of children and families through an association with baseball, softball, and the Minnesota Twins. The MTCF believes that empowering the full potential of youth requires equitable access to opportunities on and off the field that instill a love of play and enhance overall development and well-being.
