The 49th Annual Linden Hills Festival Celebrates Fun, Family and Food
The Linden Hills Neighborhood Council (LHiNC) is excited to announce that it will host the Linden Hills Fall Festival at Linden Hills Park on Saturday, September 21 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The park is located at 3100 W 43rd St, Minneapolis, MN 55410. Admission is free; food and drinks will be available for sale.
This year’s festival will kick off with the return of the bike parade. Kids can decorate their bikes from 12-12:30pm with free decor, then bike around the perimeter of the park as a way to kickstart Linden Hills’ #1 community event!
Activities, Food and Drink
From 12-5pm, there will be:
• A Kid Zone, sponsored by Mint Orthodontics, featuring bounce houses, balloon and bubble artists, face painters and more.
• Live onstage entertainment for all ages, including musical acts, story time and Bingo.
• A used book sale hosted by the Friends of the Linden Hills Library.
• A silent auction featuring prizes from all your favorite stores and organizations.
• A civics section full of our community’s top non-profit and civically minded organizations.
• A beer garden, also featuring wine and N/A beverages.
• Fabulous food trucks and food vendors, including Hana Bistro, Thirsty Dragon, Adam’s Ice Cream, Old Southern BBQ, Broder’s, Picnic and more.
From 5-8pm, the onstage entertainment will continue with live bands, and the beer garden and food vendors will remain open – while all other activities will shut down for the day.
A Community Event, Put on by the Community
The Linden Hills Fall Festival wouldn’t be possible without the support of dozens of local sponsors. From the silent auction items to the food and drink vendors, kids’ activities and entertainers to booksellers, the festival is truly a community effort that requires the volunteerism and generosity of hundreds of involved community stewards.
Proceeds from the event go toward LHiNC, a non-governmental, non-profit organization that serves the Linden Hills community’s residents and business owners. Festival funds go toward general operating expenses, the council’s annual Community Grants, civic forums, business sponsorships, community newsletters and other important programs in and around Linden Hills.
The Linden Hills Festival is organized by the Linden Hills Neighborhood Council (LHiNC). For more information, please contact LHiNC Board Member Barbara Lunde at 612-708-6883 or bklunde@hotmail.com.
