Marsgarb started in 2021, cultivated in backyards with spare parts and good ideas. Chris Hepola plays keys and drums simultaneously, Jenna Wyse on voice and synth, Josh Granowski utilizing his bass and fx to blur the lines of who is doing what. What started with a lofi-or-die approach quickly evolved into a sound bigger than the three could expect. Jenna’s lyrics maintain a softness above the deluge of sound and the album is captivatingly tender and confessional at times. Still, this first release from Marsgarb cuts close to the bone.
