Come see the Girlhood (It’s complicated) exhibit and stick around for a dance party with DJ Shannon Blowtorch during the Free Thursday Nights at the Minnesota History Center event on September 19! The dance party will feature and celebrate music by girls and for girls. Join us on the third floor from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.

Join us for the Girlhood (It’s Complicated) exhibit opening on September 7! After exploring the exhibit, enjoy a variety of craft activities and entertainment.

Entertainment includes live music by FINICK, dance presentations by Sansei Yonsei Kai and Yackel Dance Studio, and a baseball demonstration by the Minnesota Girls Baseball Association on the front lawn. Presentations will take place on the 3rd Floor of the Minnesota History Center.

The Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra will be performing during the Free Thursday Nights event at the Minnesota History Center on August 1. The concert will take place on the third floor from 6:00 – 7:45 pm.

The Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra is a community orchestra formed in 1991 to preserve and foster the enjoyment of mandolin music. The orchestra is made up of about 30 musicians, playing mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar, and bass. Their repertoire includes old and new compositions for mandolin ensembles, transcriptions of classical music, and arrangements of popular tunes. For more information, visit https://www.mnmando.org/.
