Skip Parker was born and raised in Round Rock, Texas (north of Austin). In school, he participated in many activities but really enjoyed band and choir. After high school, Skip Parker attended Stephen F Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. Where he received his Bachelor's and Masters's degrees in Music. From there he taught as a school band director for 8 years, married Kathy, and they raised 3 children. From school teaching.
