IAM’s St. Patrick’s Day

This St. Paul tradition stretches back to 1983. Stop by to enjoy 3 stages of non-stop Irish entertainment, kid friendly activities, and Shenanigans Craft Fair with local food and craft vendors.
The fun starts on Friday March 17th from 10 am to 5 pm with IAM’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. Enjoy watching your kids learn about Irish arts, try out Irish instruments at the instrument petting zoo, and dance along with the dancers. You can also enjoy theater as a family and delight in the sound of bagpipes. Come early to enjoy entertainment specifically for the little ones!

What’s new for the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration 2023?
• Blending Irish and Brazilian Music – 2023’s Cross-Cultural Presentation offering a collaboration between Irish and Brazilian musicians.
• Irish Diplomacy – a band new to our celebration on the Weyerhaeuser stage.
A sumptuous selection of traditional Irish music and dance with old friends:
• Musical friends: The Inland Seas and Locklin Road, the McNordiques, and ensembles from the Center for Irish Music.
• Great Irish dance with Corda Mór, Eilís Academy, Green Fire Irish Dancers, Hudson Academy, the Onórach Mulhern
Geraghty School (OMG), the O’Neill School, Rince na Chroi, and Rince na Gréine. Mooncoin Ceili Dancers and
Knocknagow Irish Dancers will also be showcasing their skills.
• Don’t forget to make your way to the beautiful Weyerhaeuser stage – the perfect setting for the music from students from the
Center for Irish Music as well as Pete McCauley and Leslie Rich as the Hounds of Finn Duo! (It might be the best kept
secret of the celebration!)
• Traditional music in the Tea Room: Dòrain, Dunquin, Legacy, Rupalai and Sona as well as student ensembles from the
Center for Irish Music.
Children’s entertainment is back this year with a new 3rd Floor location. Bring the little ones down early in the day for entertainment just for them.
Don’t miss Out of the Mist Celtic Theatre’s presentation of “The 99 44/100% (sorta) True Tale of the Life of Saint Patrick.” Also enjoy seminars on a variety of topics with an Irish flavor.
The popular Shenanigan’s Craft Fair returns this year. Come shop and support local! We will be featuring a group of local vendors and artists, selling a wide variety of hand-made crafts, gifts, and more. Some items you will find are jewelry, animal gifts, cards, candles, stained glass, and Irish-themed gifts.
Add in shopping in the Celtic Marketplace, a cup of tea (with music) in the Tea Room, bagpipe music from the Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band – and it’s the perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
