The Elk River Fire Department and the Elk River Police Department are going head-to-head in a game of boot hockey for charity! This game is open to the public, so choose your side and come on out to the Kiser Construction arena on March 10th to cheer them on! You’ll also have the chance to win prizes throughout the game!
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, seniors, veterans, and first responders, and free for children 3 and younger. Commemorative merchandise will also be available to purchase before, during, and after the game!
Proceeds from ticket and merch sales were initially going to be split between between the Elk River Fire Foundation and the Elk River Police Department Donation Fund. However, after the tragic losses of Officer Paul Elmstrand, Officer Matthew Ruge, and Firefighter-Paramedic Adam Finseth in Burnsville, ERPD and ERFD decided to donate all event proceeds to these fallen first responders’ families.
Can’t make it to the game but still want to donate? Donations can be made via Venmo now through game day! Just search @elkrivergnh in the Venmo app. If you’d prefer to mail a check, please make it out to the following organization and write ‘Burnsville Heroes’ in the memo line.
